Dragon's Howl is a great story with wonderful art work. The rhyming was fun and the pictures were very engaging.
The story was interesting from start to finish... but I especially liked your creative rhymes. This book kept my son's attention (and that's a big plus). We were able to associate the storyline with real life events. Great Job!
Another dragon book my grandson just loves. He was telling his mom all about how in the end the dragon was going to be very helpful to the people and how they had been afraid of him. A good book for making kids think about the lessons of life.
Expanding on my daughter's verbal review when she said "That was a really cute book - loved the story!", as an adult, we can see that the author is trying to teach kids a lesson about prejudging character based on appearance and myth. Another lesson that comes across is that reward often comes to those who don't think with a mob mentality and are able to befriend "an outsider" and share in that outsider's experiences and skills. These life lessons are subtly revealed in the poetry and nicely rendered in the illustrations.
This is a delightfully entertaining story of a magical dragon and his new friend. The friendship between
the magical dragon and Joseph is heartwarming as they embark on adventures. I especially liked Joseph's defense for the dragon when he faced danger! (A dragon facing danger?... you must read to see what happens!) Without giving the ending away, you will like and understand the ending phrase! S. Logsdon Dragon Howl
On our original shipped copy from all the left side pages of the book are printed fuzzy but the right pages are clear. Tried to arrange a replacement but would not be here in time for christmas! A month shipping estimate!!! Not cool. was not helpful at all in the matter, however the author reached out to us and tracked us down after my comments on here and arranged for a signed copy in time for Christmas. Fantastic service and so thoughtful, as they have made a little boy very happy. Thank you again so much!!
