Deadly Secrets An absolutely gripping crime thriller Detective Erika Foster Book 6 eBook Robert Bryndza
I fell a little in love with Erika Foster when I read the first book in the series, Girl In The Ice. By the end of the second book, I was head over heels with not only Erika but with the author Robert Bryndza. This latest book, Deadly Secrets, was fantastic. Erika is awesome as always but so is Moss and James. What I truly loved about this series is that the characters grow with each book. Erika is not the same person she was in the first book or even the third or fifth. As in life, people change. They evolve due to circumstances and the characters in this series are no different. Each book has revealed more of Erika’s life, Deadly Secrets the most “personal” of them all. I’d love to see this series written for TV. It reminds me of Prime Suspect.I have given every one of the Erika Foster series five stars. I wish I could have given this one six. It was so good, with a shocking twist at the end. My only complaint is that the books are so good I read them in one sitting and then am left, dejected, wishing the story wasn’t over. And BTW, thanks for the low price of these books! Hurry up Robert, and get #7 written already! I’m very impatient! 😊

Deadly Secrets An absolutely gripping crime thriller Detective Erika Foster Book 6 eBook Robert Bryndza Reviews
Robert Bryndza did a fabulous job with Deadly Secrets! Erika Foster is better than ever. And this new murder case is full of suspects, add to that a family emergency for Erika, and it just keeps piling on. At some point Erika will have to grow and evolve or she will crash and burn.
The cases are always intriguing and often gritty, but the lives of Erika, Moss, Marsh, Petersen... are what round these stories out and really make them so interesting and so hard to put down. I love a good series that incorporates the cast of characters into the books so that we care about them and like to read about them as much as the case at hand. I
I can't wait for the next Erika Foster book!
This is the sixth book of this series and I still eagerly await a new release from Robert Bryndza. I pre-order them as I know they will be excellent as the author writes with great depth and heart, and leaves you, as a reader, surprised, highly entertained, and extremely satisfied.’ Returning to a crime with Erika and her team is a bit like returning to family at this point, family that will go to all lengths to catch their killer to keep others safe. In this book we see a bit more of Moss and Peterson's life which I enjoyed. The only negative thing, to me, was the ending. I'm not sure if I liked the whole concept of it or that it seemed rushed. Hmmmm - will have to think that ending through. It's still getting a 5 star though.
The book was just made available and sad to say, I finished it.
There, after going with the series a sense of comfort as you now know the primary characters. Time has passed, situations reinvent themselves, and then there is the WORK WORLD.
In Police work, there is seldom routine situations, the author's manner of keeping it real. That style has kept me compelled. Compelled to a story line of just people, trying to make do with their lives and their private secrets until it all 'blows up'.
Am I now considered a 'groupie?', I think so.
Each book has a unique story line, each making you anxious for the next. This was another brilliant. easy entertaining, sometimes terror driven, and most all, WONDERFUL MYSTERY
I have been a huge Erika fan from book one. This book had everything in it along with a white kitchen sink. I do not want this review to contain any spoilers so I will just say it is fantastic and what I have come to expect from this series.
The writing is great - and I must add a note about the proof reading as most books have various little errors which detract from the experience, but I cannot recall one in this book or the others - the characterization is well defined and the story fast, fluid and fabulous.
If you liked the other Erika books, you’ll love this one
Robert Bryndza is one of my two favorite authors of police procedurals. The only problem I have with Mr. Bryndza's Erika Foster books is that I want them to come faster! This one was released on 4/13/18, I bought it that same day, and was through it by the morning of 4/15. You really can't put it down.....Other reviewers have discussed the plot, etc. so I won't go into that here. Sometimes, an author who writes a series tends to get repetitive so that the reader can anticipate what is coming, but I haven't found that to be the case with Mr. Bryndza. His character development is excellent, the description of the crime(s) is perfectly executed, without unnecessary gore, and there really are twists and turns. I've noticed that just about every description on says a book is "gripping" -- Mr. Bryndza's actually are. Write faster, Mr. Bryndza!
Robert Bryndza has delivered a thrilling sixth episode in his excellent series featuring DCI Erika Foster. This time Erika is caught up in the murder of a beautiful young woman found outsiede her home with her throat slashed on Christmas Eve. A burlesque dancer, Marissa Lewis is beautiful but a schemer and blackmailer, making a lot of suspects for the police to interview. At the same time, Erika is on the lookout for a man wearing a gas mask who has been sexually assaulting young men and women, and who she believes may have a connection with Marissa's death.
It was good to see Erika's team back together in this one and to see them all growing and developing. Peterson is back on duty, fully recovered and has some news that might affect his relationship with Erika. Erika seems more fragile and lonely but finally ready to let go of her past life with Mark and to build a new life for herself. Kate Moss also gets to try out being in the limelight by taking charge of the investigation when Erika is called away and discovers it's harder than she expected. The plot moves along at a good pace with short rapid fire chapters that are gripping and compelling, a few red herrings are scattered in as Erika's team sorts through the many suspects with a final surprise unveiling of the murderer and a motive right at the end that I didn't see coming. This is the best instalment yet in what is proving to be a very strong series. Please keep them coming Mr Bryndza!
